WE WERE FOUNDED TO GIVE CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS A BETTER CHANCE TO LEARN & THRIVE
In 1997, our Founders added triplets to their homeschooling family of 6. One of the triplets required a two year long hospitalization due to complications of being an extreme preemie. Instead of dragging dozens of books to the hospital every day to homeschool her four older children, our Founder designed an online system that became one of the largest and longest running online K-12 schools in the world.
When several of their children were diagnosed with ADD & Dyslexia, they had to integrate new ideas to accomodate their learning differences. They all eventually graduated and went on to college and careers.
Then came the grandbabies. One grandchild has PDD with Sensory Processing Disorder. One grandchild is extremely gifted. One grandchild has ADD and OCD. Our Founders went back to work on their learning system to accommodate their grandchildren's learning differences.
"Necessity is the mother of invention.....first I needed a way to homeschool 4 children with one in the hospital, then I needed to help two with ADD and one with Dyslexia, now the grandkids have their own challenges." (Mimi Rothschild, Founder)
